SlackwareArm-14.0-16GB-20130127.zip

Postby kenwood850 » Wed Jul 03 2013 - 17:06:36

After searching the forums here, I see that user Koordex in March found that the image file SlackwareArm-14.0-16GB-20130127.zip was corrupted after he download it. I too also found that to be the case and I tried downloading it from two different sites. Is this file really corrupted or perhaps it is because of errors occurring during the transfer? Are there any forum users that have downloaded it successfully?

I expect if I keep trying to complete a successful download over and over I will eventually upset my ISP due to the bandwidth usage to say nothing about bandwidth issue at sites that have donated their bandwidth for the cause. Are there any mirrors in the US? A closer venue might work better.

Hi Kenwood,

If you're talking about Stan Garvey's images, I have had issues with those too. I think it's a bit of a hit & miss affair if they arrive intact, or not as the case may be. Sometimes they work, other times they don't, but as you pointed out it's perseverance that wins the day!

I'm not aware of any mirrors for his images. Have you tried a Google search?

Cheers,
Exaga

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It eventually occurred to me to "borrow" an SD card from my camera to act as the source since I didn't have a flash drive large enought and did a conventional install from it. All is well that ends well. Thanks again.
